Andrew Fariello, PharmD

Bio:

Andrew Fariello, PharmD, is Vice President, Global Medical Affairs, Head of Medical Excellence in Oncology at AstraZeneca. In this role, he leads global teams focused on driving medical strategy, digital innovation, and omnichannel engagement across the oncology portfolio. Dr. Fariello is focused on leveraging data-driven insights to enhance healthcare professional interactions and improve the overall customer experience. His responsibilities include overseeing medical communications, information, MSL excellence, and medical training and development.

With AstraZeneca since 2000, Dr. Fariello has a proven track record in Medical Affairs, previously leading the US Cardiovascular Medical Affairs team and establishing the US Patient Safety organization. He has played a key role in multiple product launches and has extensive experience across various therapeutic areas. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Dr. Fariello practiced as a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master of Science in Pharmacy from St. John's University.
