Diana Morgenstern, MD, FACP, FCPP is a general internist whose varied career to date includes depth and breadth in clinical practice, medical education, medical communications and the pharmaceutical industry.  Within pharma, Dr. Morgenstern has extensive experience in US and Global Medical Affairs, with product-specific and portfolio-level responsibility for development stage and in-line products in vaccines, women’s health, gastroenterology, ambulatory care and hospital-based specialty therapeutic areas. She currently serves as the Vice President, Medical Affairs at Inovio Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing DNA medicines to help treat or prevent a range of serious and life-threatening diseases related to HPV, cancer and infectious diseases. Most recently prior to joining INOVIO, she served as the Vice-President, North American Medical Lead for the Upjohn division of Pfizer, which housed 20 of the most “iconic” biopharmaceutical brands, encompassing many therapeutic areas including Cardiovascular, Pain, Psychiatry, and Urology. In this position, she collaborated with internal and external colleagues in the United States and Canada to develop medical strategies in support of the needs of patients, health care providers and health agencies seeking to relieve the burden of non-communicable diseases.Dr. Morgenstern has published in the areas of women’s health, women’s mental health, pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccination, real world evidence, health economics, and gastroenterology. Recognized as a “Best Doctor” in the NE Region of the US, Dr. Morgenstern has continued to supervise internal medicine residents in primary care internal medicine and holds a clinical appointment at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
