Bio:
Alex Shiling, PharmD, MSc, RPh is a fellowship-trained Senior Medical Science Liaison at Alkermes, focused on field medical and managed markets engagement in rare-disease neurology and sleep medicine. Alex engages key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and payer decision-makers to communicate clinical evidence, therapeutic value, and access considerations.
With over six years of rare-disease industry experience spanning neurology, hematology, and oncology, Alex brings hands-on field medical and market access insight to pre- and post-launch execution. His experience includes driving clinical discussions with payer stakeholders, conducting balanced scientific exchange with Key Opinion Leaders, supporting cross-functional alignment across medical and commercial teams, and serving as a Medical Affairs lead for AI field-upskilling initiatives.
Alex earned his Doctor of Pharmacy and MSc in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance from Temple University and pursued a postdoctoral industry fellowship at St. John's University.
