With more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Alyssa Rhoge is a recognized leader in scientific engagement and external collaboration, and is a Global Medical Affairs Scientific Engagement Director at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Alyssa spearheads the Oncology Global Congress Strategy, where her expertise has been instrumental in realigning J&J’s congress presence to reflect refreshed corporate branding and to showcase the latest scientific and clinical innovations across the company’s portfolio. This work reinforces J&J’s steadfast commitment to patient-centric care.

Alyssa is at the forefront of integrating digital technologies to elevate the design of J&J’s Congress Booths and External Engagement materials—ensuring a dynamic, impactful presence on the global stage. Alyssa channels enterprise-level, Pharma sector and Disease area priorities to be reflected in external content spanning  a wide spectrum of areas, including the expanding role of Data Sciences in drug development, the urgent need to address unmet medical needs in targeted diseases, and the critical importance of Patient Research Advocates in advancing drug development.

In her recent initiatives, Alyssa co-developed the Worldwide Medical Affairs Strategy and advanced Integrated Evidence Generation Plans for compounds within the Oncology Portfolio, ensuring they incorporate and address prioritized business goals and factored in regional requirements.

Throughout her career, Alyssa has held strategic roles in scientific communications, competitive intelligence, and regulatory affairs, supporting both US regional and global Phase I-IV studies from start up to CSRs, launches, asset and company partnerships and acquisitions. Her unified mission remains clear: to advance development and adoption of optimal treatment options for patients through innovative and effective solutions.
