Diane Lawson is a seasoned pharmacist and Senior Director serving as Therapeutic Head for the Neurology Medical Information-Medical Review team at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. With over 20 years of specialized experience in Medical Affairs and Medical Communications, Diane brings deep expertise and impactful leadership to the pharmaceutical industry. At Alexion, she drives collaboration across teams and cross-functional partners to ensure the effective communication of critical research findings to healthcare professionals, enabling informed decision-making and advancing patient care.

Diane is passionate about mentoring emerging talent and cultivating inclusive, high-performing teams. Prior to joining Alexion, she held several leadership roles in Scientific and Medical Communications at both AbbVie and Abbott, where she contributed significantly to strategy and operational excellence. Diane holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida.
