Bio:

Dr. Osama Hashmi is a physician-entrepreneur, healthcare innovator, and technology leader whose work sits at the intersection of medicine, public health, and artificial intelligence. As Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Impiricus, he has built one of the fastest-growing healthcare technology companies in North America, leading a multidisciplinary team of more than 200 physicians, engineers, and data scientists dedicated to improving how physicians access critical medical information. Under his leadership, Impiricus developed an AI-powered healthcare professional engagement platform that connects physicians with evidence-based pharmaceutical resources in a more ethical, targeted, and clinically relevant way—ultimately accelerating patient access to life-saving therapies. The company’s rapid growth and impact were recognized when Impiricus was ranked the #1 fastest-growing technology company in North America on Deloitte’s 2025 Technology Fast 500.

Dr. Hashmi’s career reflects a consistent commitment to improving healthcare systems through innovation and leadership. He earned dual degrees in Biology and Healthcare Management from the University of Georgia in 2014 and he later earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in 2019 and completed residency training in dermatology at Emory University, serving as Chief Resident of Dermatology in 2023.

Throughout his academic and clinical career, Dr. Hashmi has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing medical education, research, and access to care. As Chair of the Medical College of Georgia Public Health Curriculum Workgroup, he led a multidisciplinary committee of faculty and students to redesign the public health curriculum for medical students. The initiative significantly improved educational outcomes, raising student satisfaction from 3.2 to 4.4 out of 5 and producing scholarly publications on curriculum innovation.
His scholarly contributions extend to dermatology and public health research, where he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national conference presentations on topics ranging from melanoma outcomes to access to dermatologic care. As principal investigator on a national study evaluating dermatology access in free clinics across the United States, he helped illuminate disparities in specialty care for underserved populations.
