D’Shonda Brown is a storyteller, mental health advocate, and Corporate Communications Manager at Tris Pharma, where she blends her editorial roots with a passion for purpose-driven omnichannel messaging.

With over seven years of experience shaping narratives across media, beauty, wellness, and now pharmaceuticals, D’Shonda has built a career amplifying underrepresented voices and transforming stories into strategy. Her bylines span major publications including ESSENCE, Health.com, Shape, ForbesBLK, Byrdie, HYPEBAE, and HighSnobiety. As a renowned journalist and editor, she’s had the honor of interviewing cultural icons like Taraji P. Henson, Regina King, Kelly Rowland, Gabrielle Union, and Kevin Hart—always with a focus on authenticity, empowerment, and cultural insight.Today, at Tris Pharma, D’Shonda leads corporate communications with a unique lens—infusing the industry with empathy, creativity, and a commitment to mental health advocacy. Her own lived experiences, including being a suicide attempt survivor and a certified Mental Health First Aid responder, fuel her mission to destigmatize conversations around mental health, especially within the Black community.

A proud Spelman College alumna with global academic experience from the University of Sussex, D’Shonda is also the co-founder of the Bridging Beauty and Wellness Conference and a compelling speaker featured on NBCLX, BBC UK News, and numerous cultural panels.
