Bio:
Eric Toron is an Executive Director within Medical Affairs at Merck & Co., Inc., where he leads a broad portfolio of operational, analytical, digital, and innovation capabilities that enable scientific engagement, evidence generation, launch readiness, and organizational effectiveness across the enterprise. He partners with leaders across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Research, and Technology to drive strategy, operational excellence, and transformative business initiatives.
With more than 25 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience, Eric has held leadership roles spanning Medical Affairs, Finance, and Investor Relations. His career includes supporting several major product launches, including KEYTRUDA® (pembrolizumab), where he served as Investor Relations lead for the NSCLC program during a critical period of growth.
Eric is recognized for advancing innovation in Medical Affairs and sponsors multiple AI-enabled initiatives focused on scientific intelligence, medical insights, field engagement, and decision support. He serves on the McKinsey Medical Affairs Roundtable, the Veeva Executive Council, and is a leader within the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS). He is passionate about developing future leaders and helping organizations responsibly harness technology, data, and science to improve healthcare and patient outcomes.
