Bio:
Dr. Jaime Smith leads global data strategy at Parexel covering the Americas, APAC, and EMEA regions. As a real-world evidence thought leader and strategist with more than 20 years of experience in translating data into actionable solutions, her broad and deep experience in clinical development solutions spans EMR / EHR, claims, pharmacy, and outcomes research.
Work Experience
Dr. Smith has keen expertise in leading and operationalizing real world evidence studies using a variety of data sources and emerging digital solutions to address complex issues in healthcare such as longitudinal patient journeys, comparator studies, medication adherence, public health emergencies, disaster response, regulatory/policy impacts, and patient-centered outcomes. Her key areas of focus include innovative integration of global data and tech solutions for e-health data extraction, collection and validation; translating SDOH and diversity data to enhance patient engagement and recruitment; and cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships to optimize corporate growth strategies.
Education
Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. in health services research with a concentration in health informatics and data mining from George Mason University and bachelor’s degrees in economics and American studies from Tufts University.
