Jolie Schafer, PhD, is the National Director of Melanoma Medical Science Liaisons at IO Biotech, where she leads a team of MSLs supporting the medical strategy for immune-modulating peptide vaccines in melanoma.
Prior to IO Biotech, Jolie held roles across medical affairs and clinical development at Sanofi, Kiadis Pharma, and Teva Pharmaceuticals. Her therapeutic expertise includes immuno-oncology, cell therapy, and biologics in CNS diseases, with experience spanning late-stage pre-clinical, early-phase clinical trials, pre-launch planning, and product launches.
She earned her PhD in Immunology from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where her research focused on NK cell-based immunotherapies in hematologic malignancies.
