Liz Skrbkova is an award-winning healthcare communications strategist with over 15 years of experience leading teams across global, US, and UK markets. She currently leads the US media and stakeholder relations function at Novo Nordisk, acting as the chief company spokesperson and managing media, issues and crisis communications for the makers of Ozempic and Wegovy. In a rapidly-evolving media landscape marked by political and geopolitical sensitivities, and continued consumer interest in GLP-1 medicines, Liz is responsible for communications strategies that not only safeguard the company’s reputation but also enhance public understanding of critical health issues.
Liz is an advocate for combating misinformation and fostering trust within the public sphere. Leading with purpose, imagination and an inclusive mindset, she has worked across the full spectrum of integrated marketing communications and partnerships to create shared value and long-term business and societal impact. Liz speaks 3.5 languages, has lived and worked in seven countries across Europe, North America and Oceania and has a foundation in journalism, reinforced by a master's degree in international media practice and strategic public relations. Her achievements have not gone unnoticed; she was named the 2022 Novo Nordisk Communicator of the Year and recognized as a Rising Star by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association in 2021. Passionate about mentoring future leaders, she was also honored as one of PR News' Top 30 Young PR Professionals in 2018.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on the trails with her horse, Hudson, a former rodeo horse she rescued from Texas five years ago.
