Bio:
Lori Klein leads the Medical and Scientific Affairs Practice at Putnam, part of Inizio Advisory. She supports biopharma clients with data analytics and artificial intelligence across a range of use cases, including strategic planning, evidence generation, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement. Lori brings deep expertise in applying advanced analytics to Medical Affairs and currently chairs Putnam’s AI Working Group. She also contributes to Inizio Advisory’s Executive AI Working Group.
An active leader in the Medical Affairs community, Lori is a member of the MAPS Insights Focus Area Working Group, a contributing author to the MAPS Generative AI White Paper, and a frequent speaker on the application of AI in real-world evidence (RWE) generation. She has also facilitated MAPS webinars, including Harnessing Data Analytics to Advance Medical Affairs Excellence and The Future is Agentic: Unlocking AI’s Potential for Medical Insights.
Lori’s strategic perspective is shaped by her experience as founder of Bench Wing, an independent consultancy focused on Medical Affairs strategy, and as former President of CDM, where she built and led the Medical Affairs division. Earlier in her career, she held roles in medical education and field team training at Bayer, consulted in managed markets with Zaske & Associates, and conducted clinical research and academic teaching at the University of Minnesota.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa, a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in critical care and infectious diseases at the University of Minnesota.
