Mary Kathryn Steel is Vice President, Corporate Communications at Danaher Corporation, where she serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on executive communications, leadership visibility and enterprise-wide associate engagement across Danaher's 63,000+ associates. She brings more than two decades of experience building and protecting the reputations of Fortune 500 companies, most recently as Executive Director, Leadership and Enterprise Communications at Bristol Myers Squibb, where she partnered with the CEO, Board Chair and Leadership Team through a CEO transition and period of significant organizational change. Earlier in her career, she led executive and media communications at AbbVie and Sanofi, shaping strategy for CEOs and C-suite leaders on issues ranging from product launches and investor relations to high-stakes crisis and reputation management, and began her agency career at FTI Consulting and The Coca-Cola Company. Her work has helped secure top industry reputation rankings, including Reputation Institute's #1 pharma company and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index's #1 Biotech Company. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Samford University with a degree in History, she is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute's Vanguard Society and Chair Emeritus of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation's Advisory Board.
