Bio:

Naomi Giges Downey is a global nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in fundraising, communications, and strategic partnerships. She currently serves as Chief Global Engagement Officer at Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins–affiliated health organization working in more than 30 countries to advance maternal, newborn, and reproductive health. In this role, Naomi leads a global team overseeing unrestricted fundraising, communications, marketing, and advocacy, working closely with the President & CEO to position Jhpiego as a trusted partner in global health.

Over the course of her career, Naomi has raised more than $100 million, securing transformative partnerships with philanthropists, foundations, and global brands. She has launched multi-million-dollar communications campaigns, advanced high-profile celebrity and 
corporate collaborations, and elevated nonprofit visibility across global conferences and media platforms.

Prior to Jhpiego, Naomi served in senior roles at organizations including The KIND Foundation/Empatico, the Child Mind Institute, City Harvest, Feeding Westchester, and City Parks Foundation. Earlier in her career, she managed community and VIP engagement at 
Carnegie Hall.

A recognized leader in strategic growth, donor engagement, and brand positioning, Naomi has guided organizations through periods of transformation, expanded their reach, and built sustainable models for long-term impact.

Outside of work, Naomi enjoys time with her two children, cooking, wine, running, gardening, music, and travel.
