Rushi Potdar serves as the Franchise Head of US Medical Affairs for GI Cancers at AstraZeneca. His responsibilities include all aspects of GI cancers overseeing a multi-product, multi-tumor GI portfolio.
Growing up, Rushi always wanted to serve patients and make a lasting impact on healthcare. He obtained his MBBS and Board Certification in General Surgery in India, specializing in surgical oncology. After practicing in India, seeking a broader and more global impact, Rushi moved to the US to pursue his MBA at Duke University in North Carolina.
Rushi began his industry career with Johnson & Johnson in the Philadelphia area, holding various roles of increasing responsibility. His leadership roles spanned across Commercial, Office of the Worldwide Chairman, R&D, and Medical Affairs. He excelled in building teams, developing new capabilities, driving innovation strategies, and delivering solid business results.
