Ryan Urgo

Bio:

Ryan Urgo rejoined Eli Lilly in March 2025 as Vice President and Head of US Public Policy, after having spent most of his career at Lilly from 2003 to 2021 in roles of increasing responsibility within Market Access and Government Strategy.  He is currently responsible for leading the US Public Policy team, identifying and monitoring policy threats and opportunities, synthesizing complex policy issues into clear and actionable engagement plans, and working with internal and external stakeholders to shape favorable policy environments and outcomes.   He was previously the Head of US Policy at Novo Nordisk from 2023 to 2025.  Ryan also worked as a Managing Director in the Policy Practice at Avalere Health, a leading Washington DC-based consulting firm from 2021 to 2023.  Ryan has a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Public Affairs from Rutgers University.
