Bio:
Sagar’s 20+ year path within the industry has been a fulfilling and impactful journey. Being blessed with mentors and great leaders along the way, Sagar consistently sought out new challenges to drive impact. He received his PharmD from Rutgers and was subsequently accepted into a commercial fellowship program at Johnson & Johnson. Working in the Janssen / Ortho-McNeil division, he supported Market Research projects for the Pain, GI, and Anti-Infectives franchises. Navigating multiple launches in a matrix environment at J&J helped Sagar make a seamless transition to the field medical organization within Takeda Pharmaceuticals. After evolving the MSL position into a hybrid field based / project management role over his 4 years there, Sagar joined Questcor Pharmaceuticals where he helped launch seven rare disease indications across multiple franchises. He transitioned into a leadership role with oversight for the Nephrology field medical franchise, and over time building out & being accountable for the Neurology franchise as well. In addition to these responsibilities, Sagar was also asked to serve as interim Medical Director where he was able to set the Medical brand strategy as well as oversee the field execution. From there, Sagar was recruited to serve as Head of Field Medical Affairs at Akcea Therapeutics where he built out the field medical organization and cultivated his leadership team to prepare for another launch within rare diseases. Most recently, Sagar joined Pfizer to trailblaze a new role as their Global Head of Field Medical Excellence within their Oncology franchise.
