Shetal Vyas is a biopharma executive and board director with more than 20 years of experience building businesses, launching first-in-class medicines, and translating strategic vision into commercial results. Her career spans companies at every stage of evolution, from established global pharma to growth-stage biotech, where she has consistently identified where value can be created, made the hard strategic calls, and executed them with discipline.

Today, as Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy & Development at Ardelyx, Shetal leads the company’s commercial strategy and helps shape its next phase of growth through business development, lifecycle expansion, and commercialization with global partners. Previously at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Shetal held a series of P&L ownership roles, culminating in building and leading the company’s Uro-Oncology business from the ground up. There, she led the commercial launch of the first-ever FDA-approved gene therapy for bladder cancer, an asset valued at over $4 billion, and secured $500 million in non-dilutive royalty financing to fund the launch and long-term growth of the franchise. Her work on that launch was recognized with an MM+M Pinnacle Award for her innovative commercial strategy and execution under pressure.
