Bio:
Jamie DeMaria has more than 25 years of experience in medical affairs, field medical, clinical development, medical education and strategy across the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Throughout his career, Jamie has excelled in building teams, empowering colleagues, and improving the ways organizations work. He has led national and global teams, built new functions from the ground up, and partnered across organizations to strengthen how medical affairs supports healthcare professionals and patients. Jamie believes leadership is about building a culture where people feel valued, understand expectations, embrace opportunities for growth, and feel empowered to solve problems together. He believes this collaborative environment is where teams do their best work - and patients benefit.
Before joining GSK, Jamie held leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, AstraZeneca, and WebMD/Medscape. His experience spans both U.S. and global organizations, with a particular focus on oncology and cardiovascular medicine.
Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science in Biology and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Florida State University, and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
