Rowland Elwell, PharmD

Bio:

Rowland Elwell is Executive Director, Field Medical - Nephrology at Calliditas Therapeutics. He leads the Regional Medical Liaisons team, which provides scientific support for Tarpeyo, the first FDA approved treatment for IgA Nephropathy. Rowland has worked in medical affairs for 20 years, with expertise in building, coaching, and leading field-based medical teams since 2018. Prior to joining Calliditas in 2021, Rowland held medical affairs roles at Amgen and Regeneron.

Rowland is a licensed pharmacist and received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Albany College of Pharmacy. He went on to complete post-doctoral residency and fellowship training with a focus in nephrology. Prior to the pharmaceutical industry, Rowland served as Assistant Professor at the Albany College of Pharmacy.
