Roundtable 2: Who Leads What? Defining Roles Between Medical Affairs and HEOR in Strategy and Planning
Session details:
Roundtables: Interactive small group discussions - 2 rotations (40 minutes each)
We will have five different topics that attendees can select between and have an open discussion with a group leader to help facilitate the conversation. Then after 40 minutes, we will rotate, and attendees can select another topic and small group and have an open discussion and network with peers.
As Medical Affairs teams work more closely with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), the lines of ownership in strategy and planning can become blurry. This interactive roundtable invites participants to explore how Medical and HEOR teams can move from parallel workstreams to true partnership. We’ll discuss where each function brings value, who should lead when, and how to align efforts for maximum impact—especially in early planning stages. Bring your experiences, challenges, and ideas to help shape a more collaborative model.
- Discuss how companies are approaching ownership and leadership between Medical Affairs and HEOR during strategic planning.
- Hear real-world experiences of both successful and misaligned collaborations—and what we can learn from them.
- Identify opportunities to build more equitable partnerships that leverage the unique strengths of both functions.
